...
Maria Salgueiro, Fashion Design student at LSD Porto, winner of 3rd Prize in Category I of the PFN New Creators Competition 2021.

How did your training at LSD impact on your project and your participation?
The training at LSD gave me the tools to make the project a reality!

What was your reaction when you found out your ranking?
Surprise! The recognition of my projects has been amazing and, in particular, this one in the PFN competition was one of the most important. I'm very proud!

"The experience of parade production and being judged by a jury was a great prize."

What do you value most about this award?
The opportunity to be at the New Talents Forum at Modtíssimo. The experience of carrying out the project, from the dossier, to the dynamics of the pattern-making, to the way I got the garment made. And I'm also proud to have been judged by a very good jury at Viseu Fashion.

Who would you like to wear your outfit?
Androgyny is a symbol of what the expression of the body can be in a person who isn't tied to one gender, as the theme translates. So anyone who feels good can wear it!

Maria Salgueiro, student awarded in the New Creators 2021 contest.

The Prizes
Maria Salgueiro and Ingrid da Costa will receive a cash prize of between 300 and 100 euros and will participate with a mini-collection in the MODisssimo New Talent Forum at Porto Fashion Week.
