Mariana Barroso highlights the dedicated and experienced teachers and the launch of her personal brand as highlights of the 3 courses she has already taken at LSD: Fashion Marketing, Fashion Accessory Design, and Event Design.

1.What is your background? What did you do before attending LSD?

I have a law degree. Before attending LSD I did an internship at a law firm and another at a sustainable fashion startup with a Spanish brand.

2. Why did you choose LSD and your course?

I chose LSD to major in Fashion Marketing and Event Design because these areas interest me a lot and I couldn't find any other school that specifically had these courses. I had also already taken a summer course in Production and Styling at LSD in 2014 and had liked the school's facilities and the teachers.

3. Indicate an outstanding moment of your journey in LSD.

I had several remarkable moments at LSD. I highlight: Having had a Fashion Marketing class with amazing classmates, and dedicated and experienced teachers in the field. Having created my own brand with the Fashion Marketing final project. The teacher Ana Afonso from the Fashion Accessories Design course, an excellent professional and super dedicated to the students.

4. How did the course at LSD contribute to your professional path or the creation of your brand?

With the final project of Fashion Marketing I had the opportunity to create my own accessories brand, Azur Lisbon, and I could deepen my know-how in design and the making of accessories with the Fashion Accessories Design course.

5. What advice would you give to those who have the dream to follow this area?

For those who have the dream of pursuing this area, I advise you to look for opportunities to deepen your knowledge and surround yourself with people in the area, with similar and complementary knowledge and skills.
