1. What were you doing before you took the LSD Course?
In 2017 I should have finished my degree in Design at IADE, but I ended up leaving one subject behind.
In September of that same year, I was repeating it, and working as a shopkeeper part-time.
2. Why did you decide to study Design?
I have always been very communicative and creative, and from very early on I chose design as my future. I love the constant challenge, the contact with the client, the need to respond to problems and the search for solutions. One day is never the same as another, every project is different, there will always be new challenges. Technological evolution has opened a huge panoply of possibilities, new ways and tools to create.
3. Do you think LSD was a good choice for you?
It was a great decision to take the course, it was a great complement to my training as a designer. And I loved the course, the projects and the people. I always felt a lot of support from everyone. I learned a lot and it opened new doors for me.
4. Was there any moment in the course that marked you in a special way or that you would like to share?
The classes are small, which allows us to have a closer relationship among everyone, and there was one thing that really touched me. One of my classmates, she had no training or contact with design, she didn't have any basics when she started the course. In the end, she delivered a final project far better than any other. She worked hard and dedicated herself like no other, and took advantage of all the support from the professors in the best possible way.
5. Do you think LSD prepared you to start your professional life?
Totally, what I learned during the course was the beginning of a new aspect of design for me, I gained skills that I didn't have, and because of that I got a job in the area.
6. What do you do now? What do you do now? What are your duties?
Right now I'm working for a TV station in Miami as a viz Artist, doing mostly animations for the TV shows in real time and virtual reality.
And all of this came about a lot because of the course I took at LSD. Because of the course, I got an internship. Because of that internship I'm in Miami, doing what I love!
7. What advice would you give to all design students who are approaching building their portfolio and looking for a job?
Work as hard as you can on your portfolio, take advantage of all the help from your professors to make a portfolio you can be proud of. It will make all the difference when job opportunities arise. Look for companies that you identify with and offer to intern there, offer to learn. When you finish the course, working with experienced teams is the biggest gain you can have at that stage.
